During the month of May Haitian Americans around the United States celebrate their heritage. This is an expansion of Haitian Flag Day, which takes place on May18th and was established to honor the contribution of Haiti internationally as well as its independence. This festive celebration isn’t just for Haitians — it is an opportunity for all to explore Haitian culture and learn about the history, traditions, music, crafts and cuisine of Haiti. Join us for story time followed by a craft activity. Follow with us as we listen to Haitian music and make some noise to celebrate Haitian Heritage month.
